One Killed, One Arrested in Oakland DUI Crash on Joaquin Miller Road

 
OAKLAND, CA (April 25, 2023) – Oakland Police reported a fatal single-vehicle crash involving a suspected drunk driver on Joaquin Miller Road on April 22.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Skyline Boulevard at approximately 8:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, a Hyundai Elantra with two occupants was traveling on the road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it crashed into a light pole near the intersection.
 
As a result, the car’s 27-year-old passenger suffered major injuries and died at the hospital.
 
Police said alcohol was a factor and arrested the 23-year-old driver.
