Micah Elfrink Identified in Fatal Abbott Accident on 35 Freeway

 
ABBOTT, TX (April 30, 2024) – Officials identified 35-year-old Micah Elfrink of Sweet Springs, Missouri who died in an accident on 35 Freeway on April 1.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at mile marker 361 at approximately 11:50 PM. Based on a report, Elfrink was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck northbound on the freeway before the incident.
 
A roadcrew was working and performing traffic control for the inside lane. Due to unknown reasons, Elfrink crashed into the bumper of a truck-mounted attenuator. She then lost control, spun in front of and collided with an approaching truck tractor.
 
As a result, the victim sustained grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Emergency crews confirmed that there had been no other injuries.
 
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
