Nathan Verdugo Injured, Woman Dead in El Paso Motorcycle Accident

 
EL PASO, TX (March 10, 2025) — 23-year-old Nathan Verdugo, of Las Cruces, sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident on Monday, March 3.
 
According to El Paso Police, the crash occurred around 12:38 a.m. on the Highway 54 south ramp to 10 Freeway West near Central El Paso.
 
Investigators said Verdugo rode a 2013 Kawasaki Ninja at a rate of speed. Then he attempted to enter the ramp from Highway 54 south to 10 Freeway west.
 
After that, Verdugo struck a barrier on the left side of the roadway. The impact caused ejected his female passenger from the motorcycle. Officials have not yet released her identity pending notification of loved ones.
 
Emergency crews transported Verdugo to a hospital, where he received treatment for serious injuries. Meanwhile, his passenger died at the scene.
 
The El Paso Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigations Unit handles the investigation of the case.
 
Officials confirmed this marks the ninth traffic fatality in El Paso this year, compared to 11 during the same period last year.
