BRECKENRIDGE, TX (April 30, 2024) — A 22-year-old woman identified as Shayden Ramsey, of Breckenridge, died in a crash on Monday, April 22.
 
According to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash took place at 3800 Highway 180 West shortly after 10:00 p.m.
 
The Breckenridge Police Department Chief Blake Johnson said Ramsey was exiting a Walmart parking lot. Then an oncoming truck struck her vehicle in the driver-side door.
 
Emergency responders brought Ramsey and the second driver to Stephens Memorial Hospital. Medical personnel pronounced Ramsey dead.
 
The male driver of the pickup truck received treatment for minor injuries. His identity was not available.
 
There are no reports of intoxication as part of the accident. However, BPD said they are still investigating the cause of the crash.
