Pedestrian Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on West 43rd Street in Houston

 
HOUSTON, TX (January 4, 2022) – The Houston Police Department confirmed that a woman suffered critical injuries in a hit-and-run on West 43rd Street on December 20.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Lang Road around 9:10 PM. Based on a report, the victim had just gotten off a bus prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, she ran across the street in a hurry to catch another bus. At that point, a car struck her and left the scene.
 
As a result, officers said the woman sustained serious injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported her to the hospital in critical condition.
 
Authorities said the driver who hit her took off in a black 4-door car. As of now, HPD said they are looking into surveillance video of the crash.
