Jon Romero Crashes Stolen Vehicle into Police Car in Pueblo

 
PUEBLO, CO (May 10, 2023) – The Pueblo Police Department arrested 51-year-old Jon Paul Romero after a crash on East 8th Street on April 30.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened at Hudson Avenue around 1:45 AM. Based on a report, Romero was driving a stolen truck at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he crashed it into a marked police vehicle. Then, he ran from the accident scene, leaving his female passenger inside.
 
As a result, the police officer involved sustained minor injuries in the incident.
 
Officers arrested Romero and his passenger on an outstanding felony warrant.
 
The court advised Romero of aggravated motor vehicle theft and leaving the scene of an accident charges.
