Jeff Engels Dies in Hit-and-Run on Soledad Canyon Road

 
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA (February 14, 2023) – 58-year-old Jeff Engels died in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Soledad Canyon Road on February 7.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported about 6:20 p.m. in the 7000 block of Soledad Canyon Road near Briggs Road.

The motorcyclist – identified as Engels – some how crashed with an unknown vehicle.

Engels was pronounced deceased on scene at approximately 7:00 p.m., according to police.

Witnesses described the hit and run vehicle as a white, single cab Chevrolet or Ford truck last seen traveling westbound on Soledad Canyon Road, west of Briggs Road. The suspects remains at large.

The L.A. County Fire Department engine 80 was also at the scene to respond.
