16-Year-Old Boy Struck and Killed by Vehicle on 175 Freeway in Dallas

 
DALLAS, TX (May 7, 2024) Dallas County Sheriff’s deputies confirmed that a 16-year-old boy died in a pedestrian accident on 175 Freeway on April 22.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at Beltline Road shortly after 7:00 PM. Based on a report, the victim was walking on the shoulder of the roadway before the crash.
 
At the same time, a Cadillac SUV was traveling westbound on 175 Freeway service road. When traffic stopped, the SUV pulled onto the right shoulder of the road, where it hit the pedestrian.
 
As a result, the teen suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported the victim to an area hospital, where he died. Officials did not release his name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the SUV remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
