German Zuniga Arrested for Aggravated Assault in Car Accident on FM 2520 [San Benito, TX]

German Zuniga Involved in Hit-and-Run Accident on Farm-to-Market 2520 in San Benito

 
SAN BENITO, TX (February 14, 2023) – Officers with the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old German Zuniga of Los Indios following an accident on FM 2520 on February 7.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened in the 3300 block of FM 2520.
 
Based on a report, a man complained that while attempting to leave, Zuniga’s red Ford Ranger pinned him to his vehicle. Subsequently, Zuniga accelerated and spun the tires. He then proceeded to reverse before he crashed into a tree and fled the scene.
 
As a result, the man was hurt in the incident.
 
Officers arrested Zuniga at his Los Indios residence after witnesses corroborated the victim’s story. They arrested and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
