Daniel Hoffman Dead in The Colony Motorcycle Crash on Highway 121

 
THE COLONY, TX (May 3, 2023) — 28-year-old motorcyclist Daniel Hoffman of southern Denton County died in an accident on Wednesday, April 19.
 
According to a news release from The Colony Police Department, the incident happened at around 2:30 a.m.
 
A TCPD officer was assisting a stranded driver in the 6000 block of the Highway 121 access road. The officer’s vehicle was stationary and had activated emergency and directional lights. However, Hoffmam collided with the back of the officer’s car while riding a motorcycle.
 
Emergency Medics from The Colony Fire Department arrived at the scene.
 
Hoffman had multiple serious injuries from the incident. The medical examiner responded to the scene and pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
The officer assisting the motorist did not sustain any injuries.
