Michael Knight Arrested in Possible Road Rage Scooter Accident in Denver

 
DENVER, CO (May 8, 2024) – The Denver Police Department arrested 55-year-old Michael Knight after intentionally hitting a man on scooter on 14th Street on April 25.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at Larimer Street shortly before 5:30 PM. Based on a report, Knight was driving a black BMW eastbound on 14th Street before the incident.
 
Police said a man riding on a skateboard and wearing a white shirt used his hand to smash the side mirror of Knight’s BMW. Denver police did not say what led to the altercation between the skateboarder and Knight. After that, police said Knight intentionally drove the BMW the wrong way down 14th Street and followed a white man wearing a white colored sweatshirt on a scooter. Knight allegedly hit the victim with his car.
 
After looking at video footage, police confirmed that the man who hit Knight’s mirror was a different person.
As a result, the victim sustained injuries and is currently on a breathing tube.
 
Police arrested Knight on charges of second-degree assault.
