DUI Suspected in Fatal Rollover Crash on 304th Street East in Pierce County

 
PIERCE COUNTY, WA (October 3, 2022) – Police confirmed the death of a 19-year-old man killed in rollover crash on 304th Street East on September 25.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 8th Avenue South around 1:50 AM.
 
Based on a report, a 21-year-old man driving in a two-door coupe traveling was driving recklessly west on 304th Street at the time of the crash. Subsequently, the vehicle went off the road to the south and rolled several times.
 
As a result, the passenger in the vehicle died in the incident. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification. The driver suffered injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
 
Police suspected DUI as a factor in the crash. However, an investigation into the case is still ongoing.
