Thomas Kelly Dies in Crash With Freightliner Trailer in Howard County

 
HOWARD COUNTY, TX (October 4, 2022) – Officials identified 83-year-old Thomas Kelly as the victim who died in a vehicular crash with a Freightliner trailer near Big Spring.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened on 20 Freeway around 10:25 AM on September 12.
 
Based on a report, the 83-year-old Big Spring resident was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the freeway prior to the crash. However, Kelly’s Dodge Journey collided with a 2020 Freightliner with trailer.
 
As a result, Kelly suffered severe injuries in the incident. DPS officers confirmed his death.
 
The driver of the Freightliner was not hurt.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, there are no other details available.
