Suspected DUI Driver Arrested in Crash on 405 Freeway at 30th Street in Renton

 
RENTON, WA (January 3, 2022) – The Washington Department of Traffic confirmed that one person suffered serious injuries in a crash on 405 Freeway on December 19.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Northeastern 30th Street just after 3:00 AM. Based on a report, two cars were traveling northbound in the same lane of the freeway prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the car in front became disabled, causing the second car to crash into it.
 
As a result, a passenger in one of the cars suffered critical injuries.
 
Officers said the cause of the crash was following too close. Later on, they arrested the driver of the second car due to suspected impairment.
