PORT ORCHARD, WA (January 3, 2022) – A jaywalking pedestrian suffered injuries in an accident on Sedgwick Road on December 16.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Highway 16 around 4:45 PM. Based on a report, a 2017 GMC Sierra pickup truck was turning onto Sedgwick Road on a green light at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the 57-year-old Belfair man stepped into traffic in front of the vehicle.
 
As a result, the man suffered injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to a Tacoma hospital for treatment.
 
Subsequently, police charged the victim with jaywalking.
