Donald Boike Arrested, Woman Dies after Las Vegas Hit-and-Run

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (April 26, 2024) — Authorities arrested 24-year-old Donald Boike after a fatal hit-and-run on Saturday, April 13.
 
According to the North Las Vegas police, the accident took place on North 5th Street near Brooks Avenue just after midnight.
 
When officers arrived at the area, they found a woman whom they believed to be in her 30s lying on the road. She appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. Medical responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
Police later found a Dodge Charger that was stopped near North 5th Street and Carey Avenue. It had extensive front-end damage. Officers later found out that the vehicle was the car involved in the hit-and-run.
 
Police later determined that the woman sat in the roadway for unknown reasons as the Dodge Charger traveled southbound on 5th Street. Boike, who drove the vehicle, then struck the woman. After that, he continued driving until officers stopped him near Carey Avenue.
 
Officers arrested Boike. He then faces charges of failure to render aid at an accident scene and failure to stop at an accident scene involving death.
