VALENCIA, CA (February 24, 2023) – Officers arrested 37-year-old Nelson Zelaya of Los Angeles after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 126 on February 19.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just east of Travel Village around 4:20 PM.
 
Based on a report, Zelaya was driving a Jeep on the highway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, he struck a Ford pickup truck. Officers said he was under the influence of alcohol at that time.
 
As a result, the two people inside the truck suffered unknown injuries.
 
Police arrested Zelaya for felony DUI due to him causing injuries to the victims. They booked him into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station with bail set at $100,000.
