93-Year-Old Elisa Martinez Killed in Crash on National City Boulevard [National City, CA]

Elisa Martinez Identified in Fatal National City Van Crash

 
NATIONAL CITY, CA (February 24, 2023) – National City police identified 93-year-old Elisa Martinez as the victim who died in a car crash on National City Boulevard on February 9.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at East 1st Street around 11:36 AM. Based on a report, the victim was an occupant of a transport van traveling near the intersection prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a Nissan sedan before striking a street light.
 
As a result, the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced Martinez dead at the scene due to severe injuries.
 
There was no word on other injuries in the crash.
