Suspected DUI Driver Matthew Gottsch Causes Crash on Highway 397 in Kennewick
KENNEWICK, WA (July 5, 2023) – Officers accused 31-year-old Matthew L. Gottsch of Richland of causing a crash on Highway 397 on June 24.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Bruneau Avenue around 10:00 PM. Based on a report, investigators believe that Gottsch was under the influence while driving his 2002 Toyota Camry.
When he pulled out from Bruneau, he collided with a Kia Sorento of 32-year-old Hirbing Nino of Kennewick.
As a result, a child sustained injuries in the incident. Crews transported the victim to Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick by a private vehicle.
Gottsch, Nino, an adult and two children in the Sorento were not hurt.
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
