Juan Cervantez Identified in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Plantersville

 
PLANTERSVILLE, TX (November 21, 2024) – Authorities identified 38-year-old Juan Cervantez of Tomball who died in a crash on FM 1774 on November 9.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at CR 303 at approximately 8:45 PM. Based on a report, Cervantez was a passenger inside a Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling southbound in the center-left-turn-only lane before the crash.
 
The Jeep was passing slow-moving traffic while a Dodge Ram 1500 was traveling northbound in the center-left-turn-only lane attempting to make a left turn onto CR303. Due to unknown reasons, the two vehicles struck each other head-on.
 
As a result, Cervantez suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Jeep sustained serious injuries. Paramedics transported the victim to Tomball Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Dodge was not injured.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
