Marvin Buchmiller Dies, Two Injured after El Dorado County Crash

 
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (March 6, 2023) — Marvin Buchmiller died while two others sustained injuries after a car crash on Highway 50 near Ice House Road on Thursday afternoon, March 2.

The fatal incident occurred at around 3:20 p.m. and involved a Kia Sportage and a Ford Expedition, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities said the Ford, driven by a 52-year-old, traveled across into opposing lanes before slamming into the Kia, operated by 83-year-old Buchmiller of South Lake Tahoe who had a 52-year-old man on board.

The force of impact inflicted fatal injuries to Buchmiller.

The passenger of the Sportage and the driver of the Expedition survived but suffered major and minor injuries, respectively.

The cause and circumstances behind the accident remain under investigation. No other information is released at this time.
