Dawn McDermott Dies in San Diego Pedestrian Accident

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 6, 2023) – 46-year-old Dawn McDermott of Lawrence, Kansas died in a pedestrian accident on 8 Freeway near McCain Valley Road on February 25.

According to the San Diego police, the fatal collision occurred shortly before 6:00 a.m. Based on reports, McDermott was riding a car heading east with her family when she behaved in an “irrational” manner and attempted to exit the moving vehicle.

As a result, the driver pulled over and let her get out of the car. Soon after, she went westbound and crossed the 8 Freeway.

An oncoming vehicle then crashed into her. The reason why she left her vehicle is still under investigation.

She succumbed to injuries and passed away later on.
