Terrell Aaron and Skyler Thornton Die in Seattle Hit-and-Run on 5 Freeway

 
SEATTLE, WA (March 6, 2023) The King County Medical Examiner identified Skyler Royce Thornton and Terrell D. Aaron as the victims who died in a crash on 5 Freeway on February 26.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near South Spokane Street shortly after 3:00 AM. Based on a report, a vehicle rear-ended another in the lanes.
 
Subsequently, both cars came to a stop in the left lane of the freeway. Then, the driver of the first car went out to inspect the damage. At that time, another car rear-ended the second vehicle, pushing the second vehicle into the first car and striking its driver.
 
As a result, Thornton and Aaron who were occupants of the first car died of multiple blunt-force injuries.
 
The Seattle Fire Department said the 22-year-old man who was struck while inspecting his vehicle is in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center.
 
The occupants of the car that rear-ended the second vehicle fled the scene on foot.
 
At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
