Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted in Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Federal Way

 
FEDERAL WAY, WA (March 7, 2023) Federal Way Police confirmed that a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run on Pacific Highway South on March 1.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened just south of 288th Street shortly before 6:00 PM. Based on a report, the man was crossing the street at the time of the accident.
 
Officers noted that the victim was not at a crosswalk when a full-sized pickup truck struck him. Subsequently, the driver fled the scene without giving aid to the victim.
 
As a result of the accident, the victim suffered severe injuries and died in the incident. Officials only identified him as a man in his 50s.
 
Authorities did not have information on the color, make, or model of the truck.
 
As of now, officers ask anyone with information on the crash to call Federal Way Police at (253) 835-2121. In addition, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
