PHOENIX, AZ (February 13, 2023) – Phoenix police identified 36-year-old Lucian Mosoianu as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on 83rd Avenue on February 11.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at McDowell Road around 8:34 PM. Based on a report, Mosoianu was crossing diagonally across the intersection at the time of the crash.
 
At that time, a driver was headed west on McDowell. Due to unknown reasons, he hit Mosoianu.
 
As a result, officers found Mosoianu with serious injuries. He later died at the scene.
 
Police cited the driver of the vehicle for DUI.
