John Younan Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Ceres

 
CERES, CA (April 20, 2023) – The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office identified 56-year-old John Younan as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on April 2.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of Mitchell Road and Colleen Way.
 
Based on a report, the victim was trying to cross Mitchell Road outside of a crosswalk at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a 17-year-old Modesto boy struck him as he was halfway across the road.
 
As a result, Younan suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Officials did not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor. As of now, they ask anyone with information about the crash to call Ortiz at 209-538-5678.
