BELFAIR, WA (March 21, 2023) – The Mason County Fire Chaplain confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on State Road 300 on March 17.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Sandhill Road around 5:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was walking in the eastbound lane of the road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries in the incident. Officials only identified him as a Belfair man.
 
WSP officers did not believe alcohol was a factor.
 
At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
