Amanda Weaver Identified in Fatal Car Crash in Houston County
HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (March 20, 2023) – Officers identified 43-year-old Amanda Weaver of Crockett as the victim who died in a head-on crash on Old Navaho Road on March 16.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near the 666-mile marker at approximately 7:15 AM. Based on a report, Weaver was driving a 2005 Hyundai passenger traveling north prior to the crash.
At the same time, a 2008 Jeep SUV was traveling south. Due to unknown reasons, Weaver traveled into the oncoming lane in a curve and struck the Jeep head-on.
As a result, Weaver suffered grave injuries. Emergency crews transported her to a local hospital, where she died.
The driver of the Jeep and their passenger were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
