Jonathan Chavez-Villanueva Involved in DUI Crash on Rankin Highway in Midland

 
MIDLAND, TX (March 23, 2023) – Midland Police arrested 27-year-old Jonathan Emilio Chavez-Villanueva of Midland after a DUI crash in the 2900 block of Rankin Highway on March 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the suspect was drunk while driving and caused a crash with a motorcycle. After he hit the rider from behind, Chavez-Villanueva continued southbound into a parking lot and hit a mailbox.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.
 
Officers charged Chavez-Villanueva with Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
