Gerardo Medina Identified in Fatal Crash on Cesar Chavez Road in San Juan, Norma Munoz Arrested for DUI

 
SAN JUAN, TX (March 23, 2023) – Officers identified 51-year-old Gerardo Medina as the victim who died in a crash on Cesar Chavez Road on March 12.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened just south of Minnesota Road around 8:43 PM.
 
Based on a report, 46-year-old Norma Munoz was driving with Medina south on Cesar Chavez Road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, Munoz lost control of the vehicle and veered off the roadway, causing a rollover.
 
The rollover ejected Medina who was not wearing a seatbelt. Then, the Chevrolet came to rest on top of his head.
 
As a result, Medina died in the incident.
 
Officers arrested Munoz on a charge of intoxication manslaughter.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
