Traci Klein Identified in Fatal Crash on Mockingbird Lane in Midland, Nicholas Yager Arrested for DUI

 
MIDLAND, TX (March 10, 2023) – The Midland Police Department identified 34-year-old Traci Lynn Klein as the victim who died in a car crash on Mockingbird Lane on March 8.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Big Spring Street around 9:50 PM. Based on a report, Klein was driving a Toyota Highlander east on Mockingbird Lane, crossing Big Spring Street to continue eastward prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 21-year-old Nicholas Yager was driving a Ford F-350, attempting to make a left turn onto Big Spring from Mockingbird. Due to unknown reasons, Yager failed to yield the right of way and crashed into Klein’s vehicle.
 
As a result, Klein suffered grave injuries. Crews transported her to Midland Memorial Hospital, where she later died.
 
Officers arrested Yager on intoxication manslaughter charges.
 
As of now, officials continue to investigate the crash. No other information is known at this time.
