70-Year-Old Terry Heagyon Identified in Fatal Cowlitz County Accident

 
COWLITZ COUNTY, WA (March 10, 2023) – Officers identified 70-year-old Terry L. Heagyon of Cathlamet as the victim who died in a car crash on Highway 4 on March 7.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near milepost 53 around 3:18 PM. Based on a report, the victim was a passenger of a gray 2016 Honda CRV traveling west on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
At the same time, 35-year-old David L. Florek of Kelso was driving a black 2013 Ford F-150 on the eastbound lane. Due to unknown reasons, the Ford crossed the center line and struck the Honda CRV head-on.
 
As a result, Heagyon suffered grave injuries in the incident. He later died at PeaceHealth St. Johns Medical Center.
 
Crews transported Florek and the Honda driver to the same hospital for treatment of injuries.
 
At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
