Man Dies, Jeffrey Flores Detained After Whittier Road Rage Accident

 
WHITTIER, CA (February 16, 2023) — A man wielding a gun died after being struck by a vehicle while Jeffrey Flores was arrested after a road rage crash on Saturday afternoon, February 11.

The fatal incident occurred on Cullen Avenue and Parise Drive at around 3:15 p.m., according to the police.

Authorities said the 29-year-old Flores, an Uber driver, had a dispute with another motorist for unknown reasons.

Amid the exchange, the unnamed driver used his vehicle to block the path of Flores before stepping out and pointing a gun at the Uber driver, per reports.

Flores, in the thick of a dangerous situation, decided to run over the other motorist.

The impact inflicted fatal injuries to the unidentified driver, who died at the scene.

Meanwhile, Flores called 911 and cooperated with police. Officials then arrested Flores and placed him in custody.

The case is still under active investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
