Kimberly Roberts Killed in Grimes County Car Crash

 
GRIMES COUNTY, TX (February 16, 2023) – 37-year-old Kimberly Roberts died while 64-year-old Lonny Dewberry sustained injuries after a car crash on FM 39 on Thursday afternoon, February 9.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the fatal accident happened around 3:30 p.m. just north of FM 1696.

Authorities detailed that Roberts drove the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado southbound. However, it crossed the centerline before colliding with a 2013 Ford F-350 traveling north, driven by Dewberry.

Roberts died at the scene, police said.

Medical personnel took Dewberry to St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan after sustaining serious injuries.
