Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (February 14, 2023) Phoenix police confirmed that a boy died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on 67th Avenue on February 11.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Thomas Road around 5:00 PM. Based on a report, a lifted truck was going northbound on 67th at the time of the crash.
 
As the boy stepped onto the sidewalk, the truck struck him. Subsequently, the truck driver fled away from the scene.
 
As a result, the boy suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to the hospital, where he later died.
 
Police say the vehicle is a 4-door lifted maroon or faded red color with a chrome strip across the door. As of now, they ask anyone with information to contact the Phoenix Police Department or Silent Witness (480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish Speakers).
