Kimberly Roberts Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash on Farm-to-Market 39 in Iola

 
IOLA, TX (February 13, 2023) – Officers identified 37-year-old Kimberly Lynn Roberts of Aquilla as the victim who died in a head-on crash on FM 39 on February 9.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened 2.5 miles north of Iola. Based on a report, Roberts was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on the road prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a 2013 Ford F-350 was going north. Due to unknown reasons, Roberts crossed the centerline and struck the left front of the Ford.
 
As a result, Roberts died in the incident.
 
The driver of the Ford, 64-year-old Lonny Ray Dewberry of Franklin, suffered serious injuries. Emergency crews transported him to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan for treatment.
 
As of now, no other details are available. In addition, the case remains under investigation.
