Jessica Valdez Identified in Fatal DUI Crash in Seattle
SEATTLE, WA (February 13, 2023) – Seattle Police identified 27-year-old Jessica Valdez as the victim who died in a crash on Aurora Avenue on February 7.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 96th Street around 3:27 PM. Based on a report, Valdez was a passenger in an SUV traveling near the intersection at the time of the crash.
At that time, officers said a man driving a forklift got onto Aurora and kept driving until it crashed into the victim’s vehicle. Subsequently, the SUV crashed into a landscape truck.
As a result, emergency crews had to cut Valdez and the SUV driver out of the vehicle. They immediately transported them to the hospital, where Valdez died. Her family revealed that she left behind her three young children.
Crews also transported the landscape truck driver to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
