CHULA VISTA, CA (February 2, 2023) – A woman from Chula Vista died after a pedestrian accident near Industrial Boulevard and Palomar Street on January 26.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the accident happened about 6:43 p.m. near the Palomar Trolley Station. Based on a report, a pedestrian was walking in the area when an oncoming black Toyota Corolla hit her.

Due to the impact, she was thrown into the eastbound lane of Palomar Street near the trolley tracks. Soon after, a white Scion struck her again while lying in the road.

Responders said she later succumbed to her injuries and died.

Both of the drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
