PHOENIX, AZ (February 2, 2023) — A person died while another sustained injuries following a rollover crash on State Route 51 at Glendale Avenue on Wednesday night, January 25.

The fatal incident occurred at around 10:00 p.m., according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Authorities said a vehicle with two occupants went over a retaining wall before rolling into an embankment.

Respondents rendered aid and transported the two people to a hospital, where one of them later died.

The other person survived but has since been hospitalized in an unknown condition.

The cause and circumstances behind the accident remain under investigation. However, no additional information is available at this time.
