One Killed, Ivan Torres Injured in Fresno Car Crash on Jameson Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (December 27, 2022) – Officials identified 29-year-old Ivan Torres of Kerman as the victim who survived a fatal crash on Jameson Avenue on December 21.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at McKinley Avenue. Based on a report, Torres was driving a car, traveling northbound on Jameson Avenue approaching McKinley Avenue.
 
Officers said Torres did have a stop sign but did not stop at the intersection. Subsequently, another car hit his vehicle’s passenger side.
 
As a result, a 29-year-old Kerman woman in Torres’ passenger seat died at the scene. Officials did not yet release her name, pending next of kin notification.
 
Torres suffered major injuries in the incident. Officers transported him to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
