One Seriously Injured, 19-Year-Old Tyler Hanna Arrested in Moreno Valley Street Racing Accident

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (December 27, 2022) – Officers with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department arrested 19-year-old Tyler Michael Hanna of Menifee following a street racing accident on Alessandro Boulevard on December 22.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Elsworth Street around 7:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, Hanna was driving a 2006 Ford 500 going westbound on Alessandro when he allegedly accelerated, exceeding the speed limit, while competing with a dark-colored sedan. At that time, a 2005 Toyota Tacoma pickup was eastbound on Alessandro.
 
When the Tacoma initiated a northbound turn onto Elsworth Street, it collided with Hanna’s Ford. Both vehicles became disabled afterward.
 
As a result, the driver of the Tacoma suffered major injuries. Crews took the victim to nearby Riverside University Medical Center for treatment. Hanna suffered minor injuries and required hospitalization.
 
Later on, officers arrested and booked Hanna into the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs resulting in great bodily injury, and engaging in a speed contest, both felonies.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
