Fatal Seal Beach Motorcycle Crash, Richard Mendoza Identified

 
SEAL BEACH, CA (November 14, 2022) – Police identified 37-year-old Richard Mendoza of Costa Mesa as the victim who died in a motorcycle crash on 405 Freeway on November 10.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just south of Seal Beach Boulevard around 4:45 AM.
 
Based on a report, Mendoza was traveling north on the freeway prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, the victim collided with a Caltrans vehicle, a 2017 Ford F650.
 
As a result, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said Mendoza died at the scene. The coroner’s officials notified Mendoza’s next of kin, who said Mendoza identified as female.
 
At this point, the CHP continues to investigate the case.
