Unborn Baby Dies in Accident on Antoine Drive in Houston

 
HOUSTON, TX (October 17, 2022) – Police confirmed that an unborn baby died following an accident in the 5300 block of Antoine Drive on October 12.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Golden Forest Drive at about 10:15 PM.
 
Based on a report, a silver Dodge SUV was going southbound on the road prior to the crash. At the same time, a white Volvo sedan was traveling north. As the Volvo turned left onto Golden Forest, the Dodge reportedly hit the Volvo, where a pregnant woman was riding in the passenger seat.
 
As a result, the woman suffered serious injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported her to the hospital, where doctors did an emergency C-section and delivered the fetus.
 
Unfortunately, the baby was pronounced dead.
 
Police cited the 19-year-old driver of the Volvo for failure to yield the right of way turning left.
 
As of now, the state patrol continues to investigate the case.
