76-Year-Old William Meeks Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 105 [Pacific County, WA]

William Meeks Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 105 near Westport

 
PACIFIC COUNTY, WA (October 17, 2022) – Police identified 76-year-old William Meeks as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash on Highway 105 on October 12.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the Aberdeen man was driving a 2003 Harley Davidson southbound on the highway prior to the crash. At the same time, a dump truck in the right shoulder was taking a right turn. Due to unknown reasons, he attempted to go around the truck and hit it.
 
As a result, emergency crews pronounced Meeks dead at the scene.
 
The crash also totaled the victim’s motorcycle, partially blocking the road for four hours.
 
No charges have been filed following the incident, according to the report. As of now, the state patrol continues to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
