19-Year-Old Charged with DUI in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 82 Freeway in Yakima

 
YAKIMA, WA (October 5, 2022) – A suspected DUI driver suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on 82 Freeway on September 23.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Milepost 38 around 5:40 PM.
 
Based on a report, the 19-year-old man from Puyallup was driving a Nissan Altima in an aggressive manner. As he kept driving west in the middle lane of the freeway, a trooper tried to stop him. At that point, the man continued and hit a Dodge Ram on his left. Subsequently, he hit a GMC Sierra on his right.
 
As a result, the suspect suffered injuries in the incident. The other two drivers were not hurt.
 
WSP suspected DUI as a factor and officers will recommend charges for the suspect. As of now, an investigation is ongoing.
