SACRAMENTO, CA (August 9, 2022) — A 22-year-old man died after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Florin Road and 6th Parkway on Thursday morning, July 28.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision took place at around 5:15 a.m. Police identified the vehicles as a semi-trailer truck and a Toyota Camry.

Based on the accident report issued, the semi-trailer truck made a U-turn at 6th Parkway in an attempt to head east on Florin Road. There, the eastbound Toyota Camry struck the right rear of the semi-trailer truck.

The driver of the Toyota Camry sustained injuries which authorities deemed fatal.
