Aaron Begnaud Dies after San Jacinto Car Crash on Highway 79

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (August 9, 2022) — 33-year-old Orange resident Aaron Begnaud died following a three-vehicle crash on Highway 79 on Tuesday morning, July 26.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident took place on the southbound side of Highway 79 near Gilman Springs Road at around 9:00 a.m.

Authorities said that a tractor-trailer was involved in the three-way collision. However, the two other affected vehicles were not specified.

Reports also indicated that one vehicle overturned due to the impact of the crash.

Begnaud died at the scene, the Riverside County coroner’s office confirmed.

Meanwhile, two other people were transported to hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

A shut down of both sides of Highway 79 were issued for precautionary measures and cleanup, but all lanes were reopened afterwards.

The cause of the crash remains unavailable at this time as investigators continue to work on the scene.
