11-Month Old, 2-Year-Old and 11-Year-Old Boys Injured in Spokane Valley Pedestrian Accident

 
SPOKANE VALLEY, WA (May 30, 2023) – Police confirmed that three boys suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on Highway 27 on May 21.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 24th Avenue. Based on a report, the 11-month and the 2-year-old were in a double stroller at the time of the crash.
 
As they were crossing the street with their mother and 11-year-old brother, a 16-year-old driver struck them broadside, with the stroller taking the impact.
 
As a result, 2-year-old Jeffrey Thor was ejected from the front of the double stroller and flew through the air onto the asphalt. 11-month-old Obidiah stayed in the stroller and the stroller hit 11-year-old Kaleb.
 
Thor sustained life-threatening injuries. As a result, a licensed CPR technician administered CPR and he now remains in critical condition. Kaleb required stitches and got a fractured foot while Obidiah sustained injuries. The victims’ mother only received an injured wrist. Emergency crews transported the victims to Sacred Heart.
 
Police said the driver of the vehicle is not facing any criminal charges.
