David Enriquez, Maria Ballesteros Killed in Anton Semi-Truck Accident

 
ANTON, TX (May 2, 2023) – Officers identified 23-year-old Maria Saucedo Ballesteros and 26-year-old David Enriquez, both of Littlefield, as the victims who died in an accident on Highway 84 on April 29.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at FM 168 around 2:00 AM. Based on a report, Ballesteros and Enriquez got into a previous crash prior to the incident.
 
They were sitting inside their 2012 Ford F-150 in the inside lane of the highway when a semi-truck towing a trailer hit them.
 
As a result, Enriquez suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Crews took Ballesteros to Lamb Healthcare Center in Littlefield, where she died.
 
The semi-driver was treated for non-incapacitating injuries.
 
This incident remains under investigation. As of now, no other details are available.
