Fatal Car Crash on FM 131 Between Brackettville and Eagle Pass

 
HOUSTON, TX (October 10, 2022) – A car crash on Farm-to-Market 131 killed three people and injured three others on Farm-to-Market 131 on Sunday.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred at 12:30 p.m. between Brackettville and Eagle Pass.

The gray Acura was driving at an unknown speed when it swerved off road to avoid an animal. The vehicle rolled over multiple times, sustained major damages, and landed upside down.

Two passengers and the driver died at the scene, DPS said.

Responders transported two others to a hospital in San Antonio via airlift. The remaining passenger was sent to a hospital in Del Rio.

Authorities believed they were migrants and there was a smuggling operation going on before the accident happened.

Identities will not be released until their families are notified.

This case is still under investigation. Details will be released once available.
